Part 1 · The downloader

Download from almost anywhere, in any quality.

Everything you would want from a downloader, none of what you would not.

Quality

Every quality a site offers. Sizes before you commit.

Pick any resolution up to 8K, including HDR, and see the estimated file size before a single byte is saved. Choose your container and audio track, add subtitles and chapters, or trim the clip you actually want.

  • Up to 8K and HDR
  • Estimated size shown first
  • Subtitles, chapters, SponsorBlock, trimming

Music

Songs that arrive tagged, dressed and with lyrics.

Save audio as MP3, M4A, Opus, FLAC or WAV with a square album cover, tags and lyrics already in place. YouTube Music links are saved as audio automatically. Paste a Spotify, Apple Music or Deezer link and Keepfin finds the same recordings on YouTube Music, then labels them with the original title, artist, album and art.

  • MP3, M4A, Opus, FLAC, WAV
  • Covers, tags and timed lyrics
  • Songs you already have are never downloaded twice

Playlists

Whole playlists, kept together and kept in sync.

Paste one link, tick what you want and download it as one collection, in its original order. Switch on Keep in sync and Keepfin checks the playlist on the schedule you pick, downloading only the new songs. Songs you removed stay removed.

  • Playlists, channels, albums and mixes
  • Check every hour, day or week, or tap Check now
  • Big batches wait for you to review them

Speed

Fast, and it keeps going on its own.

Playlists download as many songs at once as you allow. When a site starts limiting you, Keepfin slows down for a while instead of failing, retries by itself and refreshes its engine when that is the problem. Anything that really fails is listed first, with Retry or Remove.

  • Parallel downloads, pause and resume
  • Automatic retries with a visible countdown
  • Retry failed or Remove failed for a whole playlist

Part 2 · Library and player · New in 0.5

Then keep it. And play it.

Everything you download gets a home, plays without leaving the app, and tells you when something new arrives.

01

A home for everything you save.

Spaces keep your media organised: Music, Videos and Downloads to start, plus any you create, each with its own folder, color and icon. Playlists stay together as collections, tags come from the source, and smart spaces gather items by rules without moving a file.

  • Continue watching, Recently added, Favorites
  • Songs, albums, artists and collections
  • Move or copy anything between spaces

02

Watch and listen without leaving.

A music player that follows you on every tab, with a queue, favorites, sleep timer and even volume between songs. Timed lyrics are found for you when a song downloads. Videos resume where you stopped, with chapters, subtitles and picture-in-picture.

  • Synced lyrics that glide along
  • Crossfade, speed, A-B loop and Up next
  • Media keys and lock-screen controls

03

Know what happened while you were away.

The bell shows what Keepfin did for you: new songs from playlists you keep in sync, finished downloads, anything that failed, and updates or sign-ins that need you. Come back after a few days and a short notice sums it up.

  • Open, Review or Retry right from the list
  • Problems in their own filter
  • Nothing leaves your device

Motion

A player that feels alive.

Lyrics glide on springs, play and pause change shape, the seek bar grows under your finger. Try it: this little player runs right here in your browser.

    Features & how-to, built in

Every feature with the steps to use it, searchable, and a Try it button that takes you straight there.

    Private and age-restricted

Sign in and download what your account can watch. Android signs in inside the app; Windows uses your browser.

    Local by design

Everything runs on your device. No account, no tracking, no cloud.

    Always current

The download engine updates itself so sites keep working, and the app tells you when there is a new version.

    Calm notices

One “Saved” when a batch finishes, not one per song. Every notice can be closed.

    Light and dark

Both themes, comfortable or compact lists per space, and the system’s reduce-motion setting respected.

    Free

Keepfin costs nothing to download or use. No trial, no premium tier.

    Android

Native on your phone, not a squeezed-down desktop.

Share a link from any app and Keepfin opens it, inspects it and shows the qualities. You decide when to download. Your library comes along: spaces as colorful cards, music that keeps playing in the background, and playlists that sync on Wi-Fi.

    • Share-to-Keepfin from any app
    • Lock screen, headset and Android Auto controls
    • Swipe the player for the next or previous song
    • Equalizer, sleep timer and video gestures

    Questions

Windows says it protected my PC. Is Keepfin safe?

Current Windows builds are not code-signed. A warning about an unknown publisher is not a safety verdict either way. Check that the file came from the official GitHub release and compare its checksum when available. Read the installation notes, and only proceed if you trust the source.

How do I install the Android app?

Download the APK on your phone, open it, and allow installs from your browser or Files app when Android asks. Keepfin then updates itself with newer versions of the same app.

I use an older Keepfin. Do I lose anything when I update?

No. Your history, settings and files carry over, and your current download folder becomes the Downloads space. The library only lists what Keepfin saved or what you add; it never scans your whole drive or phone.

Where do the lyrics come from?

When a song finishes downloading, Keepfin looks it up on LRCLIB, a free community lyrics library, and saves the lyrics with the song (inside the file, or as a .lrc file next to it). Timed lyrics follow along in the player. You can switch this off in Settings › Downloads.

What does Keep in sync do?

When you download a playlist or channel, you can switch on Keep in sync and pick how often to check. Keepfin then downloads only the new items, never the ones you deleted or removed, and asks you first when a lot arrive at once. On Android it can wait for Wi-Fi. It is off unless you turn it on.

    Is Keepfin really free?

Yes. There is no account and nothing to pay. If it saves you time you can support its development below.

    Where do my files go?

Into your spaces. On Windows, Music, Videos and Downloads start in your usual folders, and you can point any space somewhere else. On Android, videos are saved to Movies and audio to Music, so they show up in your gallery and music apps too.

Can it download private or age-restricted videos?

Yes, once you are signed in. On Android, sign in inside the app. On Windows, Keepfin can use cookies from your browser. Only content your own account can already watch is available.

    Does it collect any data?

The app runs downloads on your device without a Keepfin account. This website uses Vercel Web Analytics for visits and limited download-request logs; those do not read your app library or media links. GitHub supplies aggregate release download counts. Read our website privacy and measurement notes for the distinction.

    Your download is starting

    1. Opened this link from WhatsApp, Telegram or another app? Its built-in window may hide the download. Tap ⋮ then Open in Chrome (or Open in browser) and download again there.
    2. Watch your notification bar. The app is about 130 MB, so it can take a minute on mobile data.
    3. If your browser asks to keep the file, tap Download. Browsers ask this for every app installed outside the Play Store.
    4. Open the file and tap Install. The first time, Android asks you to allow installs from your browser. Turn it on, then go back.
